- Technetium is a silvery-gray metal that would look much like platinum if
- it were ever produced in that form. It is normally produced, stored, and
- used in a powdered form.
- Chemically, it resembles a cross between manganese and rhenium.
- Technetium is located directly below manganese (Mn) and directly above
- rhenium (Re) on the periodic table of the elements. This is not an
- uncommon phenomenon throughout the middle part of the periodic table, where
- an element will resemble its fellow group members.
